We\u2019re using the Wildfoot blog to share her experiences. Today, Sara stops by the Veu da Noiva before travelling to the Cristalino Lodge.<\/em><em>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Today feels like a transitional day because we move from one area to the other without anything significant planned, but thankfully there are some great moments along the journey to keep me occupied.<\/p>\n<p>We start the morning with a quick visit to Veu da Noiva, a waterfall which translates as Bride\u2019s Veil.\u00a0 This is probably the most iconic of the national park&#8217;s waterfalls and is a great photography stop for any amateur or professional alike.\u00a0Although I could have happily spent the whole day at Veu da Noiva, enjoying the picture postcard views and abundant birdlife,\u00a0my flight to Alta Floresta awaits.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wildfoottravel.websitepro.hosting\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/30th-July-2.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1174\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1174 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/wildfoottravel.websitepro.hosting\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/30th-July-2-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"30th July (2)\" width=\"625\" height=\"417\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wildfoottravel.websitepro.hosting\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/30th-July-2-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/wildfoottravel.websitepro.hosting\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/30th-July-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wildfoottravel.websitepro.hosting\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/30th-July-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/wildfoottravel.websitepro.hosting\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/30th-July-2-624x416.jpg 624w, https:\/\/wildfoottravel.websitepro.hosting\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/30th-July-2.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Upon my arrival at Alta Floresta, I am met by a guide from the much acclaimed and award winning Cristalino Lodge, which is to be my residence for the next couple of days.<\/p>\n<p>The transfer consists of an hour-long jeep ride to the banks of the almighty Cristalino River, followed by a short boat ride into camp.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wildfoottravel.websitepro.hosting\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/30th-July-1x.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1173\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1173 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/wildfoottravel.websitepro.hosting\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/30th-July-1x.jpg\" alt=\"30th July (1)x\" width=\"800\" height=\"539\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wildfoottravel.websitepro.hosting\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/30th-July-1x.jpg 800w, https:\/\/wildfoottravel.websitepro.hosting\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/30th-July-1x-300x202.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wildfoottravel.websitepro.hosting\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/30th-July-1x-768x517.jpg 768w, https:\/\/wildfoottravel.websitepro.hosting\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/30th-July-1x-624x420.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Cristalino is renowned for its prolific birdlife and is considered a \u2018must do\u2019 by all serious birders that visit Brazil, and it\u2019s not long till I understand why.\u00a0 On my 15-minute boat transfer, I manage to get some terrific pictures of the Amazon and ringed kingfishers,\u00a0capped heron, black-girdled barbet and green ibis. The attention to detail is exceptional, and the accommodation is likened to that of a five-star African lodge.
