With big game being scarce on the Pans, your next two days will focus on more unusual activities, including quad biking, star gazing, visits to sites of archaeological interest, guided walks, night drives and of course close encounters with the neighbouring groups of habituated meerkats that the camp has become famous for. During any of these activities you still have a great chance of encountering some of the desert-adapted wildlife that can be seen here year round including steenbok, black-backed jackal, ostrich, brown hyena, bat eared fox, honey badger, aardwolf and porcupines.
Jack’s Camp to Okavango Delta
Spend one final morning at the camp before bidding farewell to your guides as you set off by light aircraft to Maun. On arrival in Manu you will be met and transferred by private helicopter to the beautifully presented and newly rebuilt Sandibe Safari Lodge, which will be home for the next three nights. Sandibe is located in a private concession in the Okavango Delta, adjacent to the Moremi and is fast becoming a ‘must do spot’ for wildlife enthusiasts looking for a little more luxury.
Due to Sandibe’s prime location on the permanent Delta and its proximity to the game-rich grassy plains your option of activities for the next two days are vast, whether it be big game viewing on land by guided walks, day and night drives or on water in relaxing mokoro excursions
Sandibe to Selinda Concession
You will take a morning game drive to the airstrip where you will board a light aircraft for your short journey to the magnificent Selinda Reserve. Upon arrival you will be met by your private guide who will drive you into camp, even on this short journey you won’t fail to spot plenty of wildlife. Once you have settled in and indulged in a little afternoon tea you will head out on your first proper game drive in search of the big predators that this concession is synonymous with.
With the ultimate in privacy and flexibility activity options at Zarafa include morning and afternoon game drives, night drives with a spotlight, short walks from camp, bird watching, use of a specially adapted photography vehicle and a pontoon boat. However, you might prefer to simply spend time in your private suite which is equipped with its own plunge pool that offers sweeping views of the Zibadianja Lagoon.
Zarafa Camp to Victoria Falls
After breakfast you will take your last safari drive to Selinda airstrip, ready for your flight to Kasane, on arrival here you will be met and driven to Tongabezi Lodge which will be home for the next couple of days. This is the perfect place from which to explore Victoria Falls as it comes with its own valet, guide, vehicle and boat, giving you full control over what you want to do during your stay.
Depending on your mood you could spend the day at the Falls sampling some of the adventure activities that are offered including bungee jumping, white water rafting, helicopter rides or swimming in Devil’s Pools’. Or perhaps you would prefer to do a game drive in the Mosi-Oa- Tunya NP, famous for its large rhino population or simply visit a local village or have lunch on a private island. With so many choices at hand this really is the perfect place to end your African adventure.
Depart Livingstone Airport
You will be transferred to Livingstone Airport ready for your connecting flight home.
Your Itinerary Accommodation
Jack's Camp, Makgadikgadi Pans
Named in homage to the late Jack Bousfield, an African pioneer and adventurer who stumbled upon this site whilst on a trapping expedition in the Makgadikgadi Pans during the 60's and felt so enamoured by this striking locale that he made it his home for almost 30 years, Jack’s Camp is an oasis of civilisation in one of the Kalahari’s starkest environments.
Refurbished in 2003 the lodge has been designed in a traditional East African 1940’s safari style and offers ten luxurious and spacious canvas tents. Each tent has its own en-suite bathroom and indoor and outdoor showers (for those who want to feel the Kalahari breeze on their skin). The luxurious tents with their cool cotton sheets and Persian rugs underfoot deliver a striking contrast to the rugged wilderness viewed from the comfort of one’s own veranda.
The Makgadikgadi pans are a natural haven where the emphasis is on observing the intricacies of a truly unique ecosystem and this extremely remote area is home to the relic of one of the world’s largest super-lakes. The Makgadikgadi dried up thousands of years ago but its story remains.
A safari to Jack’s Camp offers a mixture of exploring the history of this intriguing land and experiencing the wonder of its present, symbolised by the abundance of thriving wildlife in the area.
You can take a quad bike ride to explore remote archaeological sites where never before documented fossil beds of extinct giant zebra and hippo abound in the remote landscape and on these quad trips you will really feel the true isolation of this area – there genuinely is nothing out there!
A safari to Jack's Camp is a complete desert experience focusing on species unique to the area such as aardvark, gemsbuck and springbuck. It is the only place where guests are virtually guaranteed to see the rare and elusive brown hyaena and be able to walk through the Kalahari with a gang of habituated but, wild meerkats! Teeming with herds of zebra and wildebeest during the wet season along with clouds of flamingo and other migratory birds the grasslands of Makgadikgadi are a truly unique sight.
Zarafa Camp, Selinda Reserve
Situated on the far eastern edge of the private 320,000 acre Selinda Reserve in northern Botswana and overlooking the stunning Zibadianja Lagoon, this intimate and exclusive eco-friendly camp which hosts only 8 guests at a time is a safari camp like no other.
Bathed in history the camp offers four magnificent tented en-suite villas, some of which even have their own private plunge pool. All villas have been raised off the ground so as to offer stunning views from their private verandas and have large, comfortable beds and luxurious furnishings and decor.
Zafara Camp has a spectacular main area with indoor and outdoor dining facilities, lounge area and swimming pool. The whole area has been raised on decking to take advantage of views over the lagoon and reflects the desire for exclusivity and privacy which inspired Zarafa’s design.
Many activities are available at Zafara Camp including early morning and evening game viewing in open 4x4 vehicles to witness the abundant wildlife of the area including elephants and hippos, guided walks and cruising on the Zibadianja Lagoon on “HMS Zib” when water levels permit. The camp also has an open-air gym and offers in-room massages.

The houses, including a unique and wonderful Tree House, are just as luxurious and many have features such as private terraces and open-air bath tubs for relaxing under the stars.

What Our Customers
Botswana was everything we wanted it to be....spectacular wildlife everywhere and couldn’t believe how close we were! Thank you to your team for all your help in making it possible.
I just want to say a massive thank you for organising our trip to Botswana. From our very first conversation, I knew we were in safe hands, you were so knowledgeable and super-efficient that I had no doubt this was going to be the holiday of a lifetime and it was! Our two children loved every minute, especially the meerkats at Jack’s Camp so thanks for the recommendation and who can forget the bungee jump at Vic Falls!!!! We can’t wait to start planning our next family adventure with you, thank you so much.
There were so many highlights, where to start! Seeing Victoria Falls for the first time, the hot air balloon ride over the delta, watching wild dogs chase a leopard at Selinda, quad biking over the Salt Flats, the list goes on. This really was a trip that will stay close to our hearts for a very long time. The whole Wildfoot Team went the extra mile for us from beginning to end and we can’t thank you enough, we will happily recommend you to friends and family in the future.
The tented camps worked well and the bathrooms were more civilised than expected so feel we made the right choice after all. Really enjoyed the range of activities offered at each of the camps, the mokoro ride and walking safaris being particular good. Got lucky and saw a pride of lions take down a buffalo at Savuti and a wild dog kill at Mfuwe. No lucky with cheetah unfortunately, but now we have a reason to go back!
As expected, I have fallen in love with Botswana, without a doubt head and shoulders above any other safari experience. I was so lucky with wildlife with big cat sightings most days, several packs of wild dog and even a pangolin! There is nothing I would have wanted to change, a fantastic holiday from beginning to end, thank you so much for all your help and guidance thorough out.
It was a real privilege to have such an outstanding and knowledgeable guide - he was excellent company. The tents and camps were first-rate in terms of comfort, service and location.
We have recently returned from a holiday to Botswana that you organised for us and we just want to say thanks for all the work that you put into it. The holiday was fantastic - hotels/lodges were great, wildlife spectacular, people friendly, guides flexible and knowledgeable and the variety of locations perfect. The time of year was ideal for seeing the beginning of the change in the landscape at the start of the rainy season. All the arrangements ran like clockwork and there was even somebody there at Maun airport at the end of our trip to ensure all had gone well. We will certainly consider using Wildfoot again for our future travel plans.Thank you again.
Fabulous knowledge and customer service. Only back a week and already planning our next trip with them - surely that says it all
