Botswana Zebra Migration
Makgadikgadi, Boteti River & Okavango Delta
Experience Botswana's spectacular yet intimate zebra migration, a hidden gem far from the crowded safari circuits of East Africa. Unlike the famous mass migrations elsewhere, this dispersed phenomenon sees herds spread across the transformed landscape of the Makgadikgadi Pans. From January to March, when seasonal rains turn the salt pans into lush grasslands, witness thousands of zebra and wildebeest drawn to this temporary paradise. The migration moves through Nxai Pan in January and February, then shifts toward the Boteti River area from April onwards. After experiencing this photographer's dream of shimmering pans and dramatic thundershower skies, retreat to the tranquil Xugana Lagoon to explore the wonders of the world-famous Okavango Delta.
