1Day

Santiago, Chile

On day one of your Chilean discovery tour you will arrive independently and take your transfer to your hotel for your two-night stay. The rest of today will be at your leisure and you may wish to spend some time sampling the culture, food and memorable atmosphere of this vibrant city.

Santiago to San Pedro de Atacama
2Day

Santiago to San Pedro de Atacama

Today you will bid farewell to Santiago for now as you take your transfer to the airport for your included flight to Calama. Upon arrival in Calama you will be transported to the colourful and memorable town of San Pedro de Atacama where you will be based for the next three nights. After settling in to your beautiful hotel, this afternoon will be your first chance for some adventure in this area as you visit the mystifying Death and Moon Valleys which boast incredible sand and stone formations which will be even more impressive as you visit while the sun sets.

3 nights’ accommodation at Altiplanico, San Pedro de Atacama, with 3 breakfasts, 1 lunch and a welcome cocktail.

3 - 4Days

Exploring Around the Atacama Desert

On day 3 you will take a tour to Rainbow Valley and the Atacama Salt Lake, stopping first at the enigmatic archaeological site of Yerbas Buenas to marvel at the variety of old petroglyphs carved in the rocks. As you reach the fascinating Rainbow Valley in the heart of the Atacama Desert there will be ample time to explore around and photograph the beautiful hills and enchanting multi-coloured rock formations. After lunch you will then head to the traditional village of Toconao to see its historic white bell tower before reaching the impressive Atacama Salt Lake to discover how this inland sea was formed millions of years ago and delight in the picture-postcard landscape.

Day 4 will bring more adventure as we rise at dawn to make our way to the famous El Tatio Geysers, the highest geothermal field in the world. Flanked by soaring peaks, steaming ponds with brilliant salt crystals reflecting the blue skies and spectacular scenery, you will witness the powerful spurts of steam shooting out from the geyser blowholes as day breaks in this remarkable part of the world. After a memorable morning it will be time to head back to the hotel, stopping at the unique village of Machuca along the way. Machuca was known as the resting place for llama caravans that travelled the Inca Highway. The rest of the evening in San Pedro de Atacama will be at your leisure.

5Day

San Pedro to Santiago

On the morning of day 5, after breakfast, a transfer will take us to the airport for our flight back to Santiago, where we will stay for one more night before the next leg of our journey.

Santiago to Patagonia Camp
6Day

Santiago to Patagonia Camp

On the morning of day 6 your transfer will take you to the airport for your included flight to Punta Arenas where you will then be transported to Torres Del Paine National Park and the nearby Patagonia Camp. After settling in to your excitingly unique “glamping” yurt and taking some time to soak up the spectacular views you can begin your program of activities.

3 nights’ accommodation at Patagonia Camp on an all-inclusive basis with all meals, open bar, excursions into the park, bilingual guides and park fees included.

Patagonia Camp - Torres Del Paine
7 - 8Days

Patagonia Camp - Torres Del Paine

Over the course of the next two days you will enjoy the all-inclusive hospitality of this enchanting place as you enjoy activities, excursions, an unforgettable atmosphere and delicious food and drinks. Located just 15 kilometres outside the spectacular granite peaks of the Torres del Paine national park, the camp has an expansive private reserve of over 40 kilometres of exclusive walking trails which can be enjoyed by guests. Here you will encounter none of the crowds that sometimes frequent certain areas of Torres del Paine in peak season. A programme of activities designed to combine these quieter activities with key activities within the park itself offers guests the best possible experience here. Patagonia Camp’s excursion programme has been deliberately designed to offer options for all levels of fitness, from challenging 8 hour hikes, more gentle walks with scenic lakeside picnics or even vehicle tours taking in some of the main viewpoints in this dramatic region. Kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and catch & release fishing are some of the other activities on offer.

El Calafate & Los Glaciares National Park
9 - 10Days

El Calafate & Los Glaciares National Park

On the morning of day 9 you will set off on the approximately 5-hour drive across the border to Argentina and El Calafate, the gateway to the incredible Los Glaciares National Park. In the afternoon we will check in to the fabulous EOLO Patagonia Spirit Hotel to begin our all-inclusive two night experience. Today and tomorrow you can immerse yourself in the enormous array of activities on offer here including excursions to the National Park to see up-close some of the continent’s most impressive glaciers such as Perito Moreno, as well as the famous Lago Argentino and Upsala Glacier. Trips further afield to the likes of El Chalten for trekking experiences and a city tour of El Calafate are also available.

In the fantastic National Park there will be opportunities for glacier walks and treks along the ice as well as boat rides along the face of the glacier. Various other outdoor experiences are also available in the huge surroundings of the hotel including horseback riding tours, trekking, bird watching, mountain biking and four wheel drive outings.

Buenos Aires
11 - 14Days

Buenos Aires

The last adventure on our thrilling South America tour will take us to Buenos Aires, one of the finest and most vibrant capital cities in the world. On the morning of day 11 your transfer will take you to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires where you will check into the Hotel Esplendor in the wonderful Recoleta area for your 3 nights stay.

The following day will be one to remember as you join your city tour which will take you to some of this magnificent city’s many highlights including the Colón Theatre, the famous obelisk, the metropolitan Cathedral and the Casa Rosada (Governmental Palace). You will visit famous neighbourhoods including Palermo, San Telmo, La Boca, Puerto Madero and La Recoleta. Your evening will end on a high as you attend a fantastic Tango Show at the renowned Café de los Angelitos with a gourmet 3 course dinner included.

The following day is at your leisure and you may wish to explore more of this remarkable city. Maybe take in a show, visit the Recoleta Cemetery, explore the markets or attend a football game. On day 14 a transfer will be provided to the airport for your onward or homeward flights.
