Your Antarctica express expedition will begin in Ushuaia, Argentina, where after having arrived independently you will board your polar expedition vessel to start your adventure. After settling in to your comfortable cabin, meeting your crew and familiarising yourself with your new surroundings, we will set sail through the scenic Beagle Channel towards Puerto Williams in Chile, the world’s southernmost town. After a brief exploration we will get back on board to continue our sail towards Cape Horn.
Cape Horn & Drake Passage
Having crossed the Nassau Bay overnight, on the morning of day 2 you will awake in full view of the legendary Cape Horn! Here we hope to enjoy an exciting landing, weather permitting, to step foot on this famous and rarely visited island. Returning to the ship in the early afternoon we will continue our sail towards Antarctica, through the famous Drake Passage. As we sail we recommend spending some time on deck with your expert guides to see the myriad of magnificent seabirds that follow the ship and search for whales in the waters below. Your informative lecture and presentation programme will keep you entertained as we cross.
Antarctica - South Shetland Islands
This morning the stunning natural environment around us will change noticeably as we cross the Antarctic Convergence and the first sight of Antarctica land greets us on the horizon. Keep your cameras ready as the seas become more and more filled with icebergs and the wonders of Antarctica begin to emerge. As we reach the spectacular South Shetland Islands we will sail through beautiful ice-filled bays in the company of penguins, seals, whales and myriad seabirds, as well as enjoying a thrilling Zodiac cruise to shore to visit a large penguin colony. The endless Antarctic daylight will allow us to enjoy a full day and evening of exciting exploration to discover what makes this remote wilderness so remarkable.
King George Island to Punta Arenas
After your day of thrilling Antarctic exploration, we will sail to King George Island to disembark the ship and make our way to the airfield for our included flight back across the Drake Passage to Punta Arenas in Chile. Before taking flight there will be time for some final exploration as we visit the island’s Chilean base Frei and the Russian base Bellingshausen. Upon arrival in Punta Arenas you will be transferred to your hotel for your included overnight stay.

Now that I am back from my odyssey voyage, I thought I would let you know that after all that planning it really did exceed my expectations – we managed landings everywhere even on Tristan da Cuhna and had great bird sightings. The guides all knew what they were talking about too and made sure I got some great photos – still sorting them all out! Thanks for everything and see you at Birdfair!Dave Martin
Overall I think that it was an excellent trip that was well worth the price paid and I would have no hesitation recommending your company to others.Steve Sutton
Just a quick note to express my sincere thanks to you and all your staff for making this an epic adventure of immense proportions. Everything went smoothly, pickups, hotels and most of all the expedition itself. Truly a mind blowing experience unlike any I have ever taken.Mr J Borg, Malta
