Reykjavik
1Day

Reykjavik

Arrive independently to Keflavik International Airport in Iceland and take your included Flybus transfer to the hotel for your overnight stay in Reykjavik, the world’s northernmost capital. The rest of the day is at your leisure and you may wish to spend some time exploring around this vibrant city to sample some of its culture, cuisine and architecture.

Iceland’s South Coast

Iceland’s South Coast

Your driver guide will collect you this morning from the hotel and you will set off in your 4WD vehicle to head along the South Shore for an activity-packed day. First on the list is the impressive Urriðafoss waterfall, followed by a visit to the famous Black Sand Beach to see its unique basalt rock columns and watch the powerful waves crash along the beach. Your first ice cave tour of your trip will bring you to Volcano Katla which is found underneath the Mýrdalsjökull glacier, where you will put on your crampons and helmets and head in for some exploration through the impressive ice formations that are ever-changing and ever-inspiring.

After checking in to your hotel for the evening, there are good chances of spotting the Northern Lights tonight. In fact, there are good chances of spotting them on every night of your thrilling Iceland trip!

Vatnajökull National Park
3Day

Vatnajökull National Park

Moving onwards, you will now pass over the exceptionally scenic Eldhraun Lava Field and make your way to Vatnajökull National Park. Here you can take an enjoyable hike through the beautiful landscapes before taking another thrilling ice cave tour, this time through the breath-taking blue ice cave in Breiðamerkurjökull glacier.

Next up is a visit to the Glacier Lagoon where the icebergs lying along the shoreline have given the beach the name “Diamond Beach”. The massive icebergs floating in the lagoon are a sight to truly behold and offer wonderful photo opportunities.

You will stay for 2 nights in this region and on one of the nights a fascinating presentation on the Northern Lights will be delivered.

Vatnajökull National Park
4Day

Vatnajökull National Park

Today you will spend a full day exploring around the Vatnajökull National Park area including an in-depth exploration of Vatnajökull Glacier, the largest glacier in Europe. The day will be planned according to weather and ice conditions.



Skógar / Skógafoss Waterfall
5Day

Skógar / Skógafoss Waterfall

Today your guide will take you to even more fascinating natural sights including geological wonders created by Icelandic glaciers, when taking you on a walk by fascinating glacier moraine. In Skógar it’s time to discover one of Iceland’s most iconic sights as you get up-close to the beautiful Skógafoss waterfall. There will also be chance to visit the Skógar Museum (admission included), which holds one of Iceland’s greatest collections of artifacts, before you make your way to the hotel for your overnight stay and more chances of seeing the Northern Lights.

The “Golden Circle”

An activity-packed day today will see you discover some of Iceland’s most photographed and iconic sights as well as included entrance to one of Iceland’s famous geothermal baths. Along with entrance to the incredible Lava Center exhibit, you will visit the mighty Gullfoss waterfall and the awe-inspiring Geysir hot spring area to see bubbling hot springs and the famous spouting Strokkur. Your guided tour will finish with a memorable visit to Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is certain to impress.

As your tour comes close to the end, your driver will bring you back to Reykjavik where you will stay for your last 2 nights.

Reykjavik
7 - 8Days

Reykjavik

Day 7 will be free to spend in Reykjavik at your leisure, with accommodation provided tonight. You may wish to join some further optional tours that are available from Reykjavik including visits to the famous Blue Lagoon, horse riding tours and whale watching tours.

After breakfast on the morning of day 8, a Flybus transfer will be provided back to Keflavik International Airport. Should you wish to stay longer in Reykjavik, or discover even more of Iceland, please feel free to enquire about possible extensions to your tour.
