All our itinerary holidays are fully customisable

Ushuaia
1Day

Ushuaia

Your expedition begins in the Argentinean city of Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city, where after arriving independently you will make your way to the port for evening embarkation. After settling in and familiarising yourself with your ship, you may wish to spend some time on deck watching as we sail through the Beagle Channel, away from the mainland and the city lights fade into the distance. We will sail towards Puerto Williams, the world’s southernmost town, to clear formalities for approaching Cape Horn.

Flights are not included in the cost of your voyage, but we are happy to arrange these for you. Please enquire for further details and options available.

Cape Horn
2Day

Cape Horn

Having crossed Nassau Bay overnight, this morning you will awake to the sight of the legendary Cape Horn. We hope to spend the day here, with a Zodiac cruise taking you right up to this famous and rarely-visited island where you can step off and enjoy some photo opportunities and exploration both on land and at sea.

After an in-depth discovery of the area you will get back on board to sail north towards the Falkland Islands.

At Sea
3Day

At Sea

Today will be spent at sea sailing through the South Atlantic towards the Falklands. Some time on deck should reward in multiple sightings of various seabirds following the ship as well as different species of whales. Your informative and entertaining lecture and presentation programme delivered by your expert guides will teach you all there is to know about the wildlife, history and geology of the fascinating places you will visit on your expedition.

West Falklands
4 - 5Days

West Falklands

On the morning of day 4 we will have arrived off the coast of the ruggedly beautiful extreme west of the Falklands’ archipelago. Prepare for incredibly scenic sights of dramatic cliffs and picturesque harbours and bays, along with a wonderful diversity of wildlife. Over the course of the next 2 days we plan to visit a number of fascinating islands along the north and south areas of the West Falklands. Places visited on day 4 may include New Island, Weddell Island and West Point.

On day 5 we will make our way to Carcass Island to enjoy the sight of its beautiful white sand beaches, steep cliffs and coves, before moving on to Saunders Island to search for sightings of the five breeding species of penguin that can be found here along with black-browed albatross and a myriad of other birds.

Falkland Sound & Stanley
6 - 7Days

Falkland Sound & Stanley

On day 6 we will take an enjoyable cruise down the scenic Falkland Sound to discover its rough and untouched landscapes, stopping at small settlements to meet the locals and learn all about their culture and way of life here. Accompanied by the onboard historians, you will also visit sites that were active battlefields during the 1982 conflict and gain an introduction to the regional geopolitics.

Reaching Stanley, the archipelago’s charming capital, you can choose to spend the day exploring the town at your leisure, visiting the fascinating museum, the church, war memorials, or enjoying a walk along the picturesque waterfront before treating yourself to a drink and a spot of lunch in the pub. Your expedition team will also offer guided walking tours of the town and the nearby Gypsy Cove.

A number of optional tours are also available in Stanley and can be purchased in advance on board. These include battlefield tours, 4x4 drives to Volunteer Point and helicopter flights.

Now that I am back from my odyssey voyage, I thought I would let you know that after all that planning it really did exceed my expectations – we managed landings everywhere even on Tristan da Cuhna and had great bird sightings. The guides all knew what they were talking about too and made sure I got some great photos – still sorting them all out! Thanks for everything and see you at Birdfair!

Dave Martin

Overall I think that it was an excellent trip that was well worth the price paid and I would have no hesitation recommending your company to others.

Just a quick note to express my sincere thanks to you and all your staff for making this an epic adventure of immense proportions. Everything went smoothly, pickups, hotels and most of all the expedition itself. Truly a mind blowing experience unlike any I have ever taken.
