Today will be one to remember as we make our way to Mafia Island, famed for its calm turquoise waters and as one of the few places in Tanzania where whale sharks are regularly seen. At Kilindoni Bay, there is the exciting opportunity to snorkel alongside these gentle giants, creating what may be one of the most memorable wildlife encounters of the voyage.

After lunch back on board, continue exploring with a further snorkelling or diving excursion from the yacht before sailing to Mange, a pristine sandbank just off Mafia Island. This morning will begin at Mange, where the Aqua Lares Beach Club offers a wonderfully relaxed setting surrounded by clear waters and vibrant coral reefs. Spend the morning unwinding on shore or taking in the beauty of this idyllic spot, where tropical fish dart through the shallows just offshore.

After lunch, continue to Chole Bay, where the calm lagoon waters are perfect for gentle exploration. Depending on the tide, there may be opportunities to snorkel or dive among colourful coral gardens and schools of tropical fish, while kayaking through the bay offers a peaceful way to experience this beautiful corner of Mafia Island.

Savour one last breakfast on board Aqua Lares as the yacht arrives in Zanzibar, bringing this extraordinary Seychelles and Tanzania voyage to a close. Take in the final sea views and enjoy a relaxed farewell to the crew before disembarkation at Azam Marine.

After leaving the yacht, there is the option to join a guided excursion through the atmospheric alleyways of historic Stone Town, available until around 10:30am. It is a fitting final glimpse of East Africa’s rich cultural heritage before continuing your onward journey.
