Aboard: Ocean Albatros Ocean Victory

Set sail on a captivating voyage through Celtic seas and along the wild fringes of Ireland and Scotland, where dramatic coastlines, ancient histories, and island cultures come together in unforgettable style. Beginning in Dublin, this journey traces a route through some of the most scenic and storied corners of the British Isles, from the striking geology of the Antrim Coast to the colourful harbour town of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. Along the way, each landing reveals a new layer of local character, shaped by seafaring traditions, remote communities, and landscapes that have inspired myth for centuries.

As the voyage continues north, discover the extraordinary heritage of St Kilda and Orkney, where UNESCO-listed sites preserve both prehistoric monuments and the traces of more recent island life. Encounters with seabird colonies, rugged Highland scenery, legendary lochs, and renowned whisky-producing regions add to the richness of the experience. Ending in Aberdeen, this itinerary offers a remarkable perspective on Scotland and Ireland from the water as you journey through remote shores, living history, and some of the most evocative scenery in Europe.

Our popularitinerary Suggestions

All our itinerary holidays are fully customisable

Dublin - Embark
1Day

Dublin - Embark

Your journey begins in Dublin, Ireland’s lively and characterful capital. From the elegant arches of the Ha’penny Bridge to the treasures of the Book of Kells at Trinity College, the city is rich in history, culture, and unmistakable charm. Landmarks such as St Patrick’s Cathedral and the iconic Guinness Storehouse offer just a glimpse of what makes this city so compelling. This afternoon, make your way on board, settle into your cabin, and raise a glass as we cast off into the Irish Sea, bound for the rugged coast of Antrim.

Portrush, Antrim Coast
2Day

Portrush, Antrim Coast

Arriving on Ireland’s dramatic northern shoreline, we explore Portrush, a charming and popular seaside town set against the spectacular scenery of the Antrim Coast. This remarkable stretch of coastline is famed for its striking geology and rich history, with highlights including the romantic ruins of Dunluce Castle and the extraordinary basalt columns of the Giant’s Causeway, one of Ireland’s most iconic natural wonders. Later, we visit nearby Rathlin Island, where towering cliffs and remote headlands provide a haven for some of the country’s most important seabird colonies.

Tobermory, Isle of Mull
3Day

Tobermory, Isle of Mull

Set on a sheltered bay on the Isle of Mull, Tobermory is one of Scotland’s most picturesque harbour towns. Its brightly painted waterfront, overlooked by rugged hills, is lined with inviting cafés, traditional pubs, and independent galleries showcasing local art and crafts. From the historic Tobermory Distillery to the possibility of spotting golden eagles soaring overhead, the town captures the spirit of the Hebrides perfectly. Nestled between the Sound of Mull and the island’s wild interior, Tobermory is a wonderful base from which to discover the beauty and character of Mull.

St Kilda
4Day

St Kilda

Remote, dramatic, and steeped in history, St Kilda lies farther into the Atlantic than any other part of the British Isles. This extraordinary archipelago is the UK’s only dual UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognised for both its outstanding natural environment and its remarkable human story. We anchor in Village Bay, looking out over the haunting remains of the old stone-built settlement where generations of islanders once carved out a life in extreme isolation. Abandoned in 1930, St Kilda is now ruled by nature, with immense seabird colonies filling its cliffs and skies, while hardy Soay sheep still wander the slopes as a living reminder of the islands’ past.

Kirkwall, Orkney
5Day

Kirkwall, Orkney

Kirkwall, the capital of the Orkney Islands, is a town where Scottish and Norse influences come together in a fascinating blend of history and culture. Its characterful streets invite exploration, with highlights including the striking St Magnus Cathedral and the celebrated Highland Park distillery, the northernmost whisky producer in Scotland. Beyond the town itself, Orkney reveals an even older story, with remarkable Neolithic sites such as Skara Brae and the Ring of Brodgar offering an extraordinary glimpse into life some 5,000 years ago. Together, these ancient monuments form the UNESCO-listed Heart of Neolithic Orkney, one of the most important prehistoric landscapes in Europe.

Invergordon, Scottish Highlands
6Day

Invergordon, Scottish Highlands

As you sail through the calm waters of Cromarty Firth, the towering legs of oil platforms bound for the North Sea dominate the skyline, dwarfing the small town of Invergordon. Set against a dramatic backdrop of mountains, moors, and glens, Invergordon is a gateway to the landscapes and legends of the Scottish Highlands. While the town is closely linked with the maritime industries of the region and the nearby city of Inverness, it is perhaps best known as a jumping-off point for exploring the world-famous Loch Ness. Surrounded by rolling hills, historic sites, and some of Scotland’s most evocative scenery, this is a place where myth and landscape go hand in hand. So, keep your binoculars ready as we venture into these legendary Highland surroundings!

Aberdeen - Disembark
7Day

Aberdeen - Disembark

This morning, our voyage comes to an end as we arrive in Aberdeen, Scotland’s historic Granite City. After bidding farewell to the Captain, officers, crew, and fellow travellers, disembark in one of the country’s most important port cities, known for its distinctive grey-stone architecture and long maritime heritage. From here, you may begin your journey home or choose to continue your adventure, with Aberdeen serving as an excellent gateway to the castles, coastlines, and wild landscapes of the Scottish Highlands.
