Aboard: Ocean Victory

Sail deep into the North Atlantic on a voyage that links some of its most captivating and least-visited islands, from Scotland’s Hebrides and Outer Isles to the Faroe Islands and Iceland’s dramatic southern coast. Beginning in Troon, this itinerary combines rich cultural heritage with extraordinary scenery, taking you from the sacred landscapes of Iona and the Gaelic traditions of Lewis to the remote seabird cliffs of St Kilda. Along the way, each destination offers a distinctive sense of place, shaped by centuries of seafaring history, island resilience, and life lived at the edge of the ocean.

As the journey continues, the focus shifts farther north to the windswept Faroes and onward to Iceland, where volcanic landscapes, fjord-fringed coastlines, and colourful harbours await. Days at sea add to the sense of expedition, with opportunities to watch for seabirds, enjoy the ship’s facilities, and deepen your understanding of the regions visited through the expert Expedition Team. Our popularitinerary Suggestions

All our itinerary holidays are fully customisable

Troon - Embark
1Day

Troon - Embark

Your journey begins in the charming harbour town of Troon, set on the Ayrshire coast and overlooking the calm waters of the Firth of Clyde. After boarding your ship and completing the required safety briefings and drill, settle into your stateroom and take time to explore your surroundings on board. As we leave the Scottish mainland behind, raise a glass and enjoy the first evening of your voyage as the ship sets course for the beautiful islands of the Inner Hebrides.

Iona and Lunga
2Day

Iona and Lunga

Today we explore two very different but equally memorable Hebridean islands. Our first stop is the Isle of Iona, a place of profound historical and spiritual significance, where St Columba founded Iona Abbey in 563 AD and helped bring Christianity to Scotland. Though modest in scale, the abbey remains one of the country’s most revered religious sites, and the island itself has long drawn pilgrims, visitors, and seekers of peace.

Later, we continue to the Isle of Lunga, where the focus shifts from history to wildlife, with cliffs and grassy slopes alive with puffins and other nesting seabirds in one of the region’s most enchanting natural settings.

Stornoway, Isle of Lewis
3Day

Stornoway, Isle of Lewis

Stornoway, the lively capital of the Outer Hebrides, offers a fascinating introduction to the culture and heritage of the Isle of Lewis. As one of the strongholds of the Scottish Gàidhealtachd, it is among the few places in Scotland where Gaelic can still be heard in everyday life, giving the town a distinctive sense of identity and tradition. Beyond Stornoway itself, Lewis reveals a history stretching back thousands of years, most famously at the extraordinary Callanish Stones, a haunting Neolithic stone circle that remains one of the most evocative prehistoric sites in Britain.

St Kilda
4Day

St Kilda

Remote, dramatic, and steeped in history, St Kilda lies farther into the Atlantic than any other part of the British Isles. This extraordinary archipelago is the UK’s only dual UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognised for both its outstanding natural environment and its remarkable human story. We anchor in Village Bay, looking out over the haunting remains of the old stone-built settlement where generations of islanders once carved out a life in extreme isolation. Abandoned in 1930, St Kilda is now ruled by nature, with immense seabird colonies filling its cliffs and skies, while hardy Soay sheep still wander the slopes as a living reminder of the islands’ past.

Vágur, Faroe Islands
5Day

Vágur, Faroe Islands

Set on Suðuroy, the southernmost island in the Faroes, Vágur offers a striking introduction to this remote North Atlantic archipelago. The Faroe Islands are a land of treeless slopes, dramatic sea cliffs, and deep-rooted traditions, first settled by Norse voyagers more than a thousand years ago. Isolated for centuries, the Faroes developed a distinctive culture and language with clear Old Norse roots, much of which still shapes life here today. While Vágur is a lively modern town with a growing creative scene and local craftsmanship, the surrounding landscapes remain wonderfully untamed, with sweeping coastal views that still evoke the spirit of early exploration.

Tórshavn, Faroe Islands
6Day

Tórshavn, Faroe Islands

Next up we visit Tórshavn, the compact and characterful capital of the Faroe Islands and the cultural and commercial heart of the archipelago. Known locally simply as “Havn,” the city invites exploration with its narrow lanes, colourful buildings, and relaxed Nordic atmosphere. Highlights include the National Gallery and Tórshavn Cathedral, while the true charm of the city is perhaps best found in Tinganes, the beautifully preserved old quarter where red timber buildings with turf roofs cluster beside the harbour. With its blend of history, local life, and maritime character, Tórshavn is one of the North Atlantic’s most distinctive small capitals.

At Sea to Iceland
7Day

At Sea to Iceland

Today is spent at sea as we cross the Norwegian Sea toward the coast of Iceland, giving you time to fully enjoy life on board. Join the Expedition Team out on deck to watch for the many seabirds that inhabit these northern waters, or head to the lecture lounge for deeper insight into the history, culture, and wildlife of the regions we have explored. For a slower pace, unwind in the spa or soak in the ship’s hot tubs as the vast North Atlantic stretches around you and Iceland draws ever closer.

Djúpivogur, Iceland
8Day

Djúpivogur, Iceland

Set between dramatic mountains and sheltered fjords on Iceland’s beautiful southeast coast, Djúpivogur is a small town with a strong connection to both nature and the sea. Centred around its historic harbour, the settlement dates back to the 16th century and has long served as an important point of arrival for ships crossing the North Atlantic. Today, it is known not only for its scenic setting but also for its creative character, most notably the distinctive Eggin í Gleðivík sculpture overlooking the bay. With black sand beaches, excellent birdwatching, and striking walking trails close at hand, Djúpivogur offers a wonderful taste of Iceland’s wild southeastern landscapes.

Heimaey, Westman Islands
9Day

Heimaey, Westman Islands

Our last day of exploration takes us to Heimaey, the largest island in the volcanic Westman archipelago, where dramatic landscapes and remarkable human resilience go hand in hand. Shaped by fire and sea, the island is best known for the 1973 eruption of Eldfell, when lava threatened the town and its harbour, prompting an extraordinary effort by local residents to protect their community by cooling the advancing flow with seawater. Today, visitors can explore these striking lava fields and gain a vivid sense of the island’s recent history, while also enjoying Heimaey’s rich birdlife and rugged coastal scenery, which make it one of Iceland’s most compelling island destinations.

Reykjavík - Disembark
10Day

Reykjavík - Disembark

This morning, our voyage comes to an end as we arrive in Reykjavík, Iceland’s lively and distinctive capital. Known for its creative spirit, contemporary Nordic culture, and welcoming atmosphere, the city offers a memorable final stop to your North Atlantic adventure. After saying farewell to the Captain, crew, and fellow travellers, disembark and either begin your journey home or continue exploring the Land of Fire and Ice, with Reykjavík providing the perfect gateway to Iceland’s extraordinary landscapes.
