March is in the height of the Green Season and the area is generally quieter than high season. With lush greenery, wild flowers in bloom and a profusion of natural fragrant herbs this is a fantastic time of the year to visit Botswana. Due to the abundance of water, food and cover, many species of animals have their young during the green season, making it a beautiful time for game viewing, with so much new life and excitement. Kasane to Chobe
Arrive by independent flight to Kasane airport. Upon arrival in Kasane you will be transferred to Chobe Game Lodge where you will be staying for 2 nights on an all-inclusive basis.
Chobe Game Lodge is the only game lodge situated within the famous Chobe National Park. With luxurious accommodation and excellent activities this five-star lodge is a perfect base from which to explore the Park and the Chobe River.
Chobe Game Lodge, Chobe NP
Awake early and enjoy a light snack before joining an early morning guided game drive through Chobe National Park in search of an abundance of wildlife including elephants, lions and giraffes.
Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast then take an early-afternoon Chobe River Safari. Aboard comfortable, flat decked safari boats or electric powered boats you will travel down the river in style, searching for the wildlife that frequent the waters-edge.
After lunch you will have time to relax and enjoy the lodge's beautiful surroundings and facilities before afternoon tea and a further game drive or river safari to search for wildlife you may not have spotted previously in the day. Each night a delicious dinner will be served in the lodge and guests can enjoy an evening drink along the banks of the river taking in the sights and sounds that surround this wonderful area.
Camp Okavango, Okavango Delta
On the morning of day 3 we will take a short charter flight across the Okavango Delta to Nxaragha Island and Camp Okavango where you will staying for 2 nights on an all-inclusive basis. This unique and exclusive safari camp is a hidden treasure in the heart of the Delta, giving unparalleled access to a remarkable year-round water wilderness experience.
Numerous land and water-based activities are available here and each day you can enjoy motorised boat safaris and Mokoro (traditional dug-out canoes) excursions through the channels. Guided bush walks offer a chance to track the larger species that inhabit this water wilderness. Optional fishing excursions are available and scenic helicopter flights over the Delta can be booked for an additional charge.
Each day there will be time to relax and enjoy the camp's unique surroundings, and delicious meals and refreshing beverages will be served throughout the day.
Camp Xakanaxa, Moremi Game Reserve
In the morning of day 5 we will take a short charter flight to the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve and Camp Xakanaxa where you will be staying for 2 nights on an all-inclusive basis.
The prime location of Camp Xakanaxa on the banks of the Khwai River on the Xakanaxa Lagoon, makes it one of the very few safari camps that offers guests an authentic, year-round Okavango Delta land and water safari experience. Staying in classic Meru-style luxury safari tents situated around the fringe of the lagoon this classic tented camp manages to offer an authentic safari experience whilst maintaining the luxurious feel of your tour.
Throughout the day you will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives to explore the many different eco-systems that the Moremi Game Reserve has to offer, as well as guided motorised boat safaris through the deep channels and lagoons of the Okavango Delta. Expect to experience prolific sightings of Elephant, Buffalo, Hyena, Giraffe, Hippo, Wildebeest, Kudu, Lechwe, Lion and Leopard, among many others. Birding here is quite spectacular and can be enjoyed from the beautiful surroundings of your camp where delicious meals and tasty snacks will be provided throughout the day.
Moremi to Maun
Today signals the end of your Botswana safari adventure. After breakfast at the camp you will transfer by air to Maun airport for your flights home or onward travel.

Camp OkavangoHidden Treasure In The Heart of the Delta
Recently extensively refurbished, this enchanting and authentically African safari camp is situated on the remote Nxaragha Island in Botswana's magnificent Okavango Delta, a maze of deep lagoons, large lakes and hidden, meandering channels where an abundance of wildlife prospers on the permanent waters of this unique environment.
This hidden treasure in the heart of the Delta offers an all year round water wilderness experience and accommodation is provided in 12 brand new, spacious and luxurious suites which were designed to be a haven of comfort and luxury. Each suite has been raised off the ground to ensure better viewing opportunities and boasting private viewing decks with sun loungers, his & her showers and basins, clear view fronts overlooking different parts of the island and comfortable lounge areas, these safari suites merge the true Okavango Delta experience with ultimate luxury.
Camp Okavango, one of the oldest properties in the Okavango Delta, underwent a complete rebuild and reopened in April 2016.
The rebuild saw the lodge being moved forward on the island to bring guests closer to the Delta system that the island is surrounded by. The whole lodge is now raised on wooden walkways and provides an exceptional in-lodge experience as guests can move freely through the island, observing the wonders it showcases from above the ground.
The main area of the Okavango Camp consists of a cocktail bar, lounge and wildlife reference library along with a beautiful dining area which leads onto an expansive open-air patio for lunches and evenings around the fire. There is also a sundeck with a refreshing plunge pool and a bird viewing hide.
Activities on offer at Camp Okavango are mainly focused around water based adventures including motorboat rides through the Delta and Mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) excursions. Guided bush walks on neighbouring islands are also offered, giving guests the chance to witness some of the larger land-based species that inhabit this water wilderness. Birding opportunities are also outstanding and fishing on a catch and release basis is also very popular.
Camp Xakanaxa, Khwai RiverRelax By The River Khwai
Situated in a prime location on the banks of the Khwai River on the Xakanaxa (pronounced Ka-ka-na-ka) Lagoon, this authentic and stylish camp in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve is one of the finest camps in Botswana, offering an all year round Okavango Delta land and water safari experience.
Accommodation is provided in 12 spacious and elegant classic Meru-style safari tents, each of which has an en-suite bathroom, stylish furnishings and large comfortable beds. The tents are positioned around the fringe of the lagoon and each tent has its own private viewing deck with comfortable loungers where guests can relax and take in their beautiful surroundings. Camp Xakanaxa is one of the few camps in Botswana which still offers the essence of a classic tented camp.
Chobe Game LodgeLuxury 5 Star Safari Lodge
Situated within the famous Chobe National Park this exclusive safari lodge is the only permanent game lodge within the park and offers a perfect base from which to explore its wonders.
This five-star lodge is one of the most luxurious lodges in Botswana and offers accommodation for up to 94 people in sublime luxury. Each of the delightful rooms in the lodge face the wonderful Chobe River and all have air conditioning, complimentary mini-bar, en-suite bathrooms, private terraces and elegant and comfortable furnishings. For guests wishing for an even more luxurious experience, the lodge has four river-view suites which offer the ultimate in exclusivity and come with their own private plunge pool and separate lounge area.
The main area of the lodge has been designed as a haven of peace and privacy and has six comfortably furnished viewing decks, a riverside boma, two bars, six relaxing and welcoming lounges and four beautiful dining areas. There are numerous places to sit down and relax and take in the incredible surroundings. There is a large swimming pool and a waiter is always on hand to bring you cold drinks from the bar. Whilst the abundance of wildlife inhabiting the area can be seen from many of the view points around the lodge, the best way to experience these magnificent creatures up close is to partake in one of the many land or water-based activities on offer.
