Amsterdam

Your Norwegian fjords adventure begins in Amsterdam, where you will arrive independently and make your way to the port to board your expedition ship.

Before embarkation, there may be time to enjoy this elegant city at your leisure. Wander beside its historic canals, cross its many bridges, or discover world-class collections at the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum before setting sail.

At Sea
2Day

At Sea

Spend a relaxing day at sea as we sail north towards Rosendal. Watch the changing ocean views from the observation decks, unwind with a book in the library, or simply enjoy the unhurried rhythm of life on board.

You may also join an expert-led lecture, meet fellow travellers, or pick up practical tips from the ship’s professional photographers as anticipation builds for the fjords ahead.

Rosendal
3Day

Rosendal

Set against a magnificent backdrop of mountains and the Hardangerfjord, Rosendal is a peaceful village rich in both natural beauty and history. Visit the medieval Kvinnherad Church or learn more about the surrounding glaciers and wildlife at the Folgefonna National Park Centre.

Those wishing to explore farther can journey through the picturesque Bondhusdalen valley to Bondhusvatnet Lake, where emerald waters reflect the dramatic landscape and the magnificent Bondhus Glacier rises beyond.

Nordfjordeid
4Day

Nordfjordeid

Today you’ll arrive in Nordfjordeid, a picturesque village set beside the waters of Eidsfjorden. Discover the region’s Viking heritage through a beautifully crafted replica of the Myklebust ship, the largest Viking vessel ever found in Norway, and learn about the ancient burial mounds scattered across the surrounding landscape.

Nordfjordeid is also a gateway to some of western Norway’s most dramatic scenery. You may venture towards Briksdalsbreen, an accessible arm of the vast Jostedalsbreen glacier, or ride the Loen Skylift more than 1,000 metres above the fjord for breathtaking views across mountains, valleys and shimmering waterways.

Geiranger
5Day

Geiranger

You now arrive in Geiranger, a small village nestled at the head of the remarkable UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, lush mountainsides and clear blue waters, this is one of Norway’s most spectacular fjord settings.

Discover the famous Seven Sisters waterfalls as they tumble down the cliffs, visit the Norwegian Fjord Centre, or journey to the Geiranger Skywalk at Dalsnibba for sweeping views from 1,500 metres above sea level.

Trondheim
6Day

Trondheim

Today’s journey brings you to Trondheim, a historic Viking city set among the hills of Trondheim Fjord. Wander past colourful timber buildings and discover landmarks that reflect the city’s long and fascinating past.

Visit the magnificent Nidaros Cathedral, built over the burial place of King St Olav, explore the imposing Kristiansten Fortress, or admire Stiftsgården, the Norwegian royal residence and one of northern Europe’s largest wooden buildings.

Svartisen, Svartisen Glacier
7Day

Svartisen, Svartisen Glacier

The next adventure takes you to Svartisen, Norway’s second-largest glacier, where a vast river of ice tumbles down the mountainside towards the waters of Svartisvatnet Lake. Visit the glacier centre or follow one of the nearby trails for a closer look at this immense ice flow, which reaches up to 200 metres thick.

As you sail through Holandsfjord, enjoy stirring views of the glacier, surrounding peaks and the small village of Holandsvika across the water. The area can also be explored by boat or along its scenic lakeside paths.

Leknes, Lofoten & Cruising Trollfjorden
8Day

Leknes, Lofoten & Cruising Trollfjorden

An exciting last day will see you explore Leknes in the spectacular Lofoten Islands, where red-painted houses, white-sand beaches and jagged mountain peaks create one of Norway’s most distinctive landscapes. Set above the Arctic Circle on Vestvågøya, this is a land shaped by dramatic scenery and the long summer light of the Midnight Sun.

Later, an incredible conclusion will see you cruise into Trollfjorden through its remarkably narrow entrance. Towering cliffs rise almost vertically from the water as the ship glides quietly into the fjord, with the chance to spot white-tailed eagles overhead before turning for one final unforgettable view.

Tromsø
9Day

Tromsø

Today your Norwegian fjords adventure comes to an end in Tromsø, where you will disembark and bid farewell to the crew and expedition team. Known as the gateway to the Arctic, this lively northern city is surrounded by mountains, fjords and the striking landscapes of the far north.

Depending on your onward plans, there may be time to explore the historic centre, visit the Polar Museum or admire the Arctic Cathedral. You could also ride the Fjellheisen cable car to Mount Storsteinen for panoramic views across Tromsø and its dramatic surroundings.
