Highlights of Panama

Arrive independently to Panama City. Pick up at the airport by our guide who will help with the transfer to the Hotel in the city, about 30 minutes away. The guide will also provide important information regarding the rest of trip.

The tour starts at the Panama Canal, a magnificent work of engineering, actually the greatest and most expensive human feat of the time. After 30/40 minutes, you will reach the Visitor Center of Miraflores Locks, from which you will be able to see closely the ships moving along the canal, and the way it operates. Forthwith, you will visit the Amador Causeway, which offers one of the city’s most spectacular panoramic views. Lunch will be served at one of the local restaurants in the city. The tour continues in the Old Quarter of Panama City, the historic center of San Felipe declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997, thanks to its eclectic fusion of colonial, neoclassic and French architecture. This stop includes a walk in the streets, squares and gravel roads and a visit of emblematic colonial buildings, churches and palaces.

Transfer to Albrook Domestic Airport to board your flight from Panama City to Bocas del Toro. Arrival and transfer to Tranquilo Bay Eco Adventure Lodge. Located in the rainforest, expect to see and hear all kinds of wildlife here. Surrounded by hummingbirds, sloths, frogs, and lizards this is a nature lovers paradise.

3 nights accommodation at Tranquilo Bay Eco Adventure Lodge on a full board basis.

Transfer from Tranquilo Bay Eco Adventure Lodge to Isla Colon Pier. Then boat transfer from Isla Colon pier to Almirante. Upon arrival, transfer from Almirante to Volcan and the Mount Totumas Cloud Forest Hotel. Directly bordering La Amistad National Park, Central America’s largest highland preserved wilderness, Panama's spectacular cloud forest is at the doorstep of your accommodation and the trails provide guests access to the many endemic and keystone species of flora and fauna of this increasingly endangered habitat. The resort offers superlative accommodations, excellent farm to table cuisine, well maintained marked trails and experienced guides.

3 nights accommodation at Mount Totumas Cloud Forest Hotel including daily breakfast. Meal plan of lunch and dinner available for $60 per person per day which includes all beverages and coffee (excluding alcohol).

Bocas del Mar Hotel in Chiriqui is a stunning boutique hotel with modern, luxury features. In a privileged coastal location on the mainland at Boca Chica, it is perfectly positioned for a completely relaxing vacation to get to know the Gulf of Chiriqui. With luck, you will be able to see whales in this area, since the whale watching season is from July to November.

At the hotel you can buy excursions to the islands directly.

On day 12 you will transfer to Albrook Domestic Airport for your flight from David to Panama City where you will meet your guide to transfer to Gamboa and check in to the famous Canopy Tower Hotel for an immersive birdwatching experience.

As your itinerary comes to an end, today you will be transferred to Tocumen International Airport to meet your departure flight.
