Kilimanjaro Airport - Arusha

Kilimanjaro Airport - Arusha

Arrive independently to Kilimanjaro Airport where your Meet and Greet service awaits you. Your driver will transfer you to the beautiful Arumeru River Lodge where the rest of the evening will be at your leisure. Enjoy a delicious dinner and some relaxation in preparation for the adventures ahead.

Fly Arusha to Ikoma

Fly Arusha to Ikoma

This morning you will transfer to the Arusha airport for your regular scheduled flight to Ikoma. From here you will be met by your driver and transferred to Grumeti Hills in the heart of the Grumeti Game Reserve on the border of the Serengeti National Park.

Arrive in time for lunch and some relaxation before setting off on an evening game drive around the camp where a wide variety of wildlife roams. You will then return to the camp for dinner.

Grumeti Hills
3Day

Grumeti Hills

Set off early this morning on a guided walking safari through the Grumeti Game Controlled Area within the Serengeti NP, accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide and an armed ranger. This immersive experience offers a unique opportunity to explore the landscape on foot, discovering the finer details of the ecosystem and observing wildlife from a new perspective. After approximately 1.5 hours, you'll arrive at a scenic spot along the Grumeti River, where a freshly prepared bush breakfast awaits amidst a truly memorable setting.

Return to the lodge mid-morning for some well-earned relaxation. Enjoy the tranquil surroundings, take a dip in the pool, or indulge in a massage before lunch is served.

The afternoon is yours to design. You could head out on another game drive or simply unwind at the lodge. An early dinner will be served before heading out again, this time for an exhilarating night game drive to witness the bush come alive after dark.

Northern Serengeti

Northern Serengeti

This morning, depart Grumeti Hills and travel north to the remote and breathtaking Tanzanian Mara, the Serengeti’s northernmost tip. Your destination is the stunning Mara River Post, a beautifully situated camp overlooking the iconic Mara River and offering front-row views in one of the most dramatic wildlife areas in the region.

Over these two days, explore this vast and untamed landscape, where you may have the chance, depending on the season, to witness one of nature’s most extraordinary spectacles, the great Mara River crossings. Watch in wonder as massive herds of wildebeest brave the crocodile-infested waters during their annual migration.

This area is teeming with life. Not only will you see the migrating herds, but also large elephant families and a strong presence of predators, including lions and leopards, drawn by the abundance of prey during this remarkable season.

North-central & Central Serengeti

North-central & Central Serengeti

After breakfast, take a game drive through northern Serengeti enroute to the north-central and Lobo area, with a picnic lunch along the way.

Later in the afternoon, you will check into Togoro Plains to enjoy dinner and a well-earned rest within a designated rhino sanctuary and surrounded by year-round waterholes.

Enjoy a full day game drive in the park and Togoro Plains today as you discover some of the multiple habitats and landscapes here, with savannah and the big plains to the south, the hills & woods to the west, the kopjes area to the east, and bush land to the north. Depending on the season, your driver may suggest a drive further south, west or north to catch the Great Migration.

After a final morning game drive, your thrilling Tanzania safari itinerary nears its conclusion. Yet there’s time for one more adventure as you take an unforgettably scenic flight from the Seronera Airstrip to Arusha, flying over the endless Serengeti plains, the volcano chain & the Great Rift Escarpment. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be met and transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge for lunch and then on to JRO airport for your onward or homeward flights.
