Another Unforgettable Birdfair Weekend
Well, that’s the Global Birdfair at Rutland over for another year, and what a weekend it was! Up there as one of our favourite Birdfairs so far, we met so many wonderful people across the weekend. People we can now call friends.
Sharing tales with like-minded adventurers, exchanging tips and tricks for birdwatching and wildlife experiences, and sharing our passion for conservation and exploration…this is what it’s all about for us, and we wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who joined us at our stand over the weekend. Meeting you all was a pleasure, and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
We also wanted to thank Varun Mather for providing his unsurpassed knowledge of all things birding in the Indian subcontinent, and the wonderful wildlife artist Kerry Newell for providing us with the highlight of the weekend... a live creation of an original artwork commission that exceeded all our expectations.
Together with Varun, Kerry and our lovely stand visitors, we managed to raise a fantastic £1000 for Birdlife International who will use those funds to go towards their work in helping to restore and expand forests in Ecuador's North West Choco for Black-breasted Puffleg & other endangered species.
Roll on next year’s Global Birdfair, we hope to see you there again!
