Here you can view a large variety of birds and other species close up; birds such as nesting black-browed albatross, five species of penguin, giant petrels, the endangered striated caracara and endemics such as Cobb's wren and the Falklands flightless steamer duck. On the beaches or offshore are elephant and fur seals, two species of dolphin and orca. 10 miles south of East Falkland lies the remarkable Sea Lion Island where an abundance of wildlife live and roam amongst some of the most beautiful scenery in the Falklands Archipelago.
